Korg response to Yamaha T5

Post by pzezula »

Hello everyone,

Dear colleagues, do you know does Korg plan any action in response to Yamaha T5?
New OS, new model, etc....

Regards,

Hi

Well i don't think there should be a new model right away

I do however think that Korg needs to do something with the current range to keep focus on themselves.... things like:

-Ranodomisation in styles
-Humanised charateristics with ensembles and layered tracks.

just thinkgs to equal the T5 where Korg lacks (very few places...but still needs to be looked at).

Looking forward to the next OS update and hoping its something substantial

thanx

Sorry, but I would imagine Korg would be delighted to still have no competition.

Well I hope they are not doing anything too soon, I don't even get my Pa3X till tomorrow! I'd hate it to be 'old' before I have had it very long.

Hi Snowqueen
I don't even get my Pa3X till tomorrow!
Don't panic or worry about that.
You'll spend the first 2 years constantly finding new things you didn't know it did!!

I doubt if we'll have a new PA for a while yet - if Korg continue their current pattern of releases I'd guess it would be 2015.
I have a personal policy NOT to buy freshly released gear - I like to wait until the bugs are ironed out and the price drops a bit - I usually give it about 12-18 months after release.

One local retailer said he has several pre-release orders for the T5 - NOW THAT IS A WORRY - why would anyone do that?

Enjoy your PA3X - if you don't have it yet, get some sleep now while you can

Cheers

Pete :D

Very Sound Advise Pete..
Whether it be Cars or Keyboards, for me it's also the end of series purchase. Cheaper pricing, plenty of consumer feedback and latest updates.
Hope All is Well

Yes!! unless you're having a bad day, feeling low, just happen to see a new keyboard and just buy to cheer you up.

You see - I'm NOT irrational or obsessed (some of the time)

Lol, good advice. I did sleep well, till 6am anyway. Itching to get to the store now. I have arranged nice easy meals for the weekend so hubby won't starve, mind you guitarists seldom do!
