Hi everybody,
I'm having troubles with my Kronos X 88 and I strongly suspect the SSD to be the origin of them. These have been accentuated after the update to V2.1 but it may be a coincidence.
Basically I have 2 symptoms:
1. If I play extensively an SGX Piano the SDD streaming seems not to follow and the result is that the notes are cut off (the disk doesn't feed the RAM). After 10-20 seconds without playing the streaming SSD gets back "in sync"
2 If I want to copy files from a USB stick, 3 out of 4 times I get the message "Write error" (the write-protection is off for everything). Sometimes I get to copy files but I can't figure out a reason why
Every time I do a "Check Medium" on the SSD it shows 0 bytes repaired and I assume there are no damaged areas....
Any idea before I send it in for servicing (which where I am is a pain in the neck...)?
Shall I consider changing the SSD?
Thanks

Could also be loose or damaged cable somewhere in the data stream from and to the SSD or its power. Could also be the driver controller on the motherboard being out of whack.
The »Check Medium« will very likely not check or discover errors in the physical drive but only errors in the file system that may be caused by errors in the drive or by shutting down the Kronos while it was writing data to disk. Not finding such errors means that the file system is still in a consistent state and no major data loss has happened.
I would call Korg service.
By the way: Maybe the good folks at Korg could give us a software based option to trigger a proper system shutdown instead of simply making it crash by toggling the power button?

Thanks TheWolf,
I subscribe your suggestion to Korg to implement a power-off software procedure.
I just wonder if anybody has similar issues; Korg service just replied (expectedly) to ship in the Kronos. That for me is a very expensive option from where I live.
If changing the SSD solves the problem I would rather do that.
