New Owner Hello and is there a glossary of terms?

Hello
Since my first hello is already on this thread, the link for it is below. I'm waiting on my Kronos x88 to arrive and am reading the manual. Is there a glossary of terms for key/synth terminology somewhere? I haven't run into too many terms, and some I have found on line but not others, or there's too many similar acronyms to cull through. For instance what is AMS and DMod?

AMS and DMod are both Korg-specific terms relating to their workstation technologies.
AMS stands for Alternate Modulation Source and is just a way by which you select a modulation source, usually alongside or related to the actual parameter is modulates.
E.g. you might see on a page three fields:
Cutoff
AMS Source
AMS Intensity
So you would know that you can set the filter cutoff, but you can also choose an AMS Source of say Mod Wheel or Joystick +X or LFO1, and set an intensity of 12 so you know you want that source to make the cutoff go up/down by a value of 12.
DMod is quite similar but is used in effects sections and the sources available are different because they are running independently of the program or any of it's voices (i.e. in polyphony). So the program's LFO for example wouldn't be a valid source, but there might be a Program Common or FX LFO that you can use. Another common source for DMod is the foot pedal or switch. You might use it for a Wah FX for example.

Hi,
While I was pouring over the manuals of my new Kronos, I assembled a list of terms along the way. No glossary is ever complete or perfect, so I offer this as-is, and hope you enjoy the Kronos journey!
