Greetings, all!

I am helping a student set up her new Triton ProX that she (quite joyfully!) just received as a Christmas present. I worked with my own ProX a while back, so I am knowledgeable about the internal workings of this wonderful beast, but I was wondering about how folks these days were most conveniently using the SCSI card to store samples and other data.

The fellow who her family purchased this from said he used a Zip drive with both a SCSI cord and a USB cord to transfer data from the keyboard and a macbook, and vice versa. Do people find think that a jazz drive would be just as suitable in this kind of a setup?

I was also wondering if I'm oversimplifying things to think that I could just hook up the keyboard directly to the computer with a USB-to-SCSI cord such as this--> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... pNo=414784 It's hard to imagine it being this easy, as in the keyboard showing up as a volume on my desktop, but I thought I'd ask, to see what I am overlooking here, and to see if anyone else would be willing to share their strategies regarding what we are trying to accomplish.

(in a separate post, we also are inquiring about a reliable librarian/editor software that would be compatible with a Mac operating system --- if one exists, that is --- so if anyone had anything to chime in about that it would be greatly appreciated as well)

Thanks so much for your time, and a Happy New Year to everyone!
