Hello allz
I bought a FCB1010 to control two KP3 with its 12 footwitches (FW) but I have only one KP3 for the moment.
I used an old SCART cable (with a lot of wires in it ^^) with a male and female plugs for separate the units easilly.
On the KP3, there are holes for each buttons to solder wires which will be linked to the FCB : footswitches 1 2 3 4 to loop bank 1 2 3 4, Sampling button to FW 5 and Tap tempo to Down FW.
I have left unused wires for another KP3 =)
Here is a little demonstration, there is no music ^^

Uhhhh Okay...I know you could have programmed the FCB1010 to control your KP3 with out all of this extra work...But alright.

The FCB does not send note on simultaneaously, only one per one

There is no Sampling button activation remotely...
Notice that the FCB is not powered, so I can use it to control my keyboard for example, but I need a switch to deactivate sending on/off on the KP3...

Let me see if I understand this correctly: So if I program the FCB for midi notes ABCD to match the KP3's ABCD and then trigger one of the FCB switched to be on, let's say the one for B and then I want to trigger the pedal set to C, the B and the C will not stay on together? By going from B to C, switch C will cancel out switch B? Is that right?

If you want to activate B and mute C with Midi, that does not work simultaneaously, one per one... The buttons remains activated or not if you press another one of course =)
With this wiring, you can switch the four on/off at the same time if you want ^^
Don't forget it's stand alone, you can control another midi device but a switch is needed to avoid controlling the KP3 at the same time. A switch that cuts the Scart's ground is enough =)

Now I am confused....
Can the FCB turn on and off banks ABCD remotely?
Can the FCB turn on more than one bank remotely?
If you have, say, turned on bank B and C and then decided you want to turn off (NOT MUTE) bank C can the FCB do that?
See to me when you are saying "One To One" I am expecting that if you assigned FCB pedal 1 to note A which would control Bank A on the KP3 and then pedal 2 to B, pedal 3 to C and pedal 4 to D you should have completely independent relationships between the Banks ABCD of the KP3 with foot pedals 1234 of the FCB. What should happen with the pedal 3 controlling bank C should have no affect to what goes on with pedal 2 which is programmed to control bank B. Basically being a simple remote on and off switch for the KP3 Banks is all that should be expected from the FCB.
Can you explain in better detail what it is I am missing?

With the FCB in Midi mode, you can control the banks you assigned, so ABCD to 1234. You can switch the banks on and off as you wish, all off, all on, only one if you want... But not simulaneaously, if you want to switch off BC or AD or AC or else, you must press each FW one after one. My wiring does that. The Sampling button is not midi controlled, big lack...
Hope that I answered correctly ? ^^

Oh wow, Okay I see. No, was never expecting the FCB to allow you to hit 2 buttons at the same time. Thanks for clearing this up. I thought you were pointing out some other issue with the FCB.
I saw some on sale for $50 and was thinking of getting one.

Excellent work Niarf!
Any chance you have pics of what it looks like after you finished soldering it together?
I'm trying to do the same thing, but with an Art X-15. Any and all help would be very much appreciated!!
Thanks
