There's sonic States review
Seems like the integra in a keyboard but no after touch. Yes it has some nice pads and some extra stuff and several thousand sounds 128 note polyphony.
I'm kind of impressed but not at the same time. I don't think it wii make me sell my Kronos.
Here's Roland's clip. http://www.rolandconnect.com/product.php?p=fa-08
To me this makes it look like ableton live in a keyboard well aimed at that type of music

Maybe Godpartical could comment

Underwhelmed… BUT, it is a lot of synth for the price - FA-06 under £1k

I'll keep my Kronos and Fantom X

This seems to be in the same market segment as MO XF/Krome/Kross.

Nothing to share with our beloved Kronos.

It's a pretty cool entry level, by the way. :D
Keep feeling good.

Cool features, but I hope it feels/plays better than it looks.

I think it looks just great....

And it sounds like an integra 7...

I don't mean it's ugly, it just looks cheap to me. Looks are very subjective though, and don't necessarily reflect how it plays, hence my comment.

I agree.

But it looks cheap because it's intended to be cheap.

Anyway, the 08 version has the RD keybed. It might became my controller for the K
Keep feeling good.

What is it with Roland and their unwillingness to incorporate after-touch into their keyboards (with exception of hi-end models)?

Surely as a performing device, AT is a highly desirable performance tool.....

looks like excellent competition for the Jupiter 50 :)

or you can get the 88 key version.

The JP50/80 sounds can be loaded via SD card.

It's not really exclusive to Roland, the Krome and Kross series don't have aftertouch either.
EDIT: Also, I almost never use it.

I don't gig but now that I have played with after touch I really like it. I thought this new fa had the ivory g keyed? I do like that keyed and it looks as if the fa88 will cost just a little bit more then what I paid for the rp301 a couple years ago so it would be a great value considering whats in it. But is it a cut down integer 7 with a keyed? Does it include all of whats in an integer 7? I wonder how it will affect the integers sales seeing it is almost double the cost. Nevertheless it is a nice looking item to me but I wouldn't part with my Kronos for it. I am still looking for a companion for my Kronos. Maybe a Kronos 2!

The screen looks like hard work and not as easy on the eye as the Kronos.

It looks pretty good to me. The sampler seems flexible and useful for quick ideas.

Incredible deal for probably under $1000 usd.
