Track appears to be private? I couldn't listen to it?

using soundcloud, youtube, or your own webhosting is fine. Whatever really.

It's cool. I like the sounds and the sequences.

Might be worth working on making more of a progression though, keep it interesting.

Bass totally isn't what I was expecting to hear (something more traditional) but that's a good thing

thanx X-Trade for the positive feedback.

I reckon it is too sketchy and monotonous as it is right now
(just a monotribe track and a ms-20 mini track)
recorded in Audacity since I don't have a DAW..
I'll try with some chords with the M50 and add a lead...
and see where this goes :)
will keep you posted

HI Channel0

This is actually an interesting bass line and sequence, i think if you add the m50 with some leads and some chords you can actually make something very interesting our of it.

thank you sir for the kind feedback :D
I still have the original recorded tracks, but I'm going to start anew with the idea,
but I'm desperately trying to reconstruct the growling bass from the MS-20 which lacks memory slots, let alone memory banks for patches.

fortunately I still have the sequence from the Minitribe in it's single memory slot :D

makes you wonder how people reconstructed the sounds they made on records on a live stage in the old days. I humbly take my hat off to them :)

Don't have a DAW? You can download Studio One for free. http://presonus.com/products/Studio-One/download

There are also DAW trials from Ableton and Steinberg. Everyone is cross platform nowadays so you should be okay.

I haven't tried Studio One yet but it's something I might get into. Prepare for a learning curve if you're not familiar with DAW's in general, though you should be okay with some Audacity experience under your belt.

dear mr. Ferraro,
thank you very much for the tip on the Presonus StudioOne free edition.
I just installed it, and got my hardware working with it, after some tinkering...

recorded a first track from my Monotribe with it only minutes ago :D

I still have to learn all of it's ins and outs, since there are definitely more
possibilities than Audacity has to offer :)

I wonder what it's limitations will be in comparison to other DAW's, but as far as I can see for now It will do nicely in it's free form for now :)

Again, thank you for the heads up & I hope to post a new 'song'version in soundcloud soon :D

remind me never to inform my relatives when i have a couple of days off,
they filled my spare time completely :)
so i'm lagging behind with this january2014 entry.
i'll make sure to refine it in a new post for january if this is allowed,
and i'll add a new entry for february2014 within the next week.

No need to create a new thread. You can continue to post about this song in this thread.

A good subject would be something like 'feb 2014 - my song title'. As long as it's obvious and has something unique too.
