Hey I'm wondering, how is the sound quality on the korg kronos x?

Incredible, and even better if you take the time to learn how to tweak the engines in this monster!

I have a korg kronos x73!!!
It's a great machine with very good sounds!!!
But sound and sound........
Many people loves korg,other people loves yamaha,roland.........
But some
people loves kurzweil pc3k:-)

Since it is about sound QUALITY, it's not what sounds he likes best which is subjective.
Sound quality is more the technical components used including the engine to regenerate or generate waves.
To do a full examination might be very difficult. You would have to use a scope or something similar to check for every wave, how 'perfect' it is. Since the Kronos has very many waveforms, and also it might be hard to define what is 'perfect' it is not easy to answer.
Furthermore, according to the question it is asked how the sound quality 'is'. This means it needs to be compared to some reference value or reference synthesizer.

The Kronos is a fantastic sounding machine. Make use of the Balanced outputs if you can. Sounds great either way, but I thought I heard a difference when I switched. Maybe more output, but haven't done an A/B test to confirm.
Personally I think it's voiced a little bright in the programming, but that's the bright sorta thin (IMO) "Korg Sound". With Time and Patience, you can get it to sound about anyway you want it to. If you go that route it's not for the faint of heart, but it's truly a keyboard that can grow with you for years from a sound perspective. I'm experienced and going on 3 years with it and I'm STILL digging in!
My only hope is they continue to update it until the hardware has been exhausted of its potential. So far the User Sample streaming and CX-3 update have been HUGE! Personally I'd like to see some new models and Oberheim flavored filters find their way on board.
Outside of sounds, we're all hoping for a sequencer update.
