Hey everyone - I'm sorry if this is a rather foolish question, and I'm sure that someone else has probably asked it already, and I searched for a while to the answer to that question both as a standard Google search and while using the operator to limit the results to Korg Forums, and neither yielded any useful results. I'm just looking for a way to kill all the MIDI signals coming from the Kronos when a key gets stuck.. or at least I think that's what's happening. Sometimes notes just play endlessly in Cubase when I have the MIDI set up to go into Cubase and then back out to the Kronos to trigger the sound module, with local control set to off. But anyway, is there a solution? I checked the manual, and I'm not sure if I searched for the wrong keywords, but I couldn't find anything in there either.

There is no midi off or panic button. But I think if you change modes it will kill it. If you are in program mode switch to combi for example.

Does Cubase have a "Panic" function? After all - it could be causing the problem. It is sending the MIDI data to the Kronos.

The third section of the menu offers a number of specific MIDI editing features that aren’t handled by the normal MIDI editors. The fourth section of the menu relates mostly to the Logical Editor functions, whereas the final section is basically a MIDI reset function. (This last function acts as a panic button on a MIDI patchbay, sending out All Notes Off and Reset Controllers messages on all MIDI output ports and channels; you can use this when you experience stuck notes after recording, playing, or editing a track.)

Might work for more current versions of Cubase, or whatever one you have...

You can also have cubase send all notes off(plus a reset controller etc) via the stop button on the transport control.
Various settings are available,so carefull selection will be needed.

The simplest Kronos "panic" button is to change programme or combination voice.....but you may loose any current edits.

Compare- button does the same job. Clicking twice you do not loose anything.
