How to Sync Volca Bass with Roland TR-626 ??

Post by fferreira »

Hey everyone,

Got the Volca Bass, and its working just fine ;) I wanna sync it with my TR-626, but I can't seem to do it... I've seen some videos and there are multiple ways to sync them. Can you recommend and explain to me the best way to do it?

I've seen some people using the "Trigger Out" from the TR-626, without turning on the "Sync" option on it, but it didn't work! Do I use the "Tape Sync"?

Hope someone can help me :)

Best regards,
Francisco

Whats wrong with using the midi out on the 626 to the midi in on the Volca?

I'm sure MIDI would work, but using Sync Cables would greatly benefit my whole setup! Thats why I'm trying to figure out how to do it ;)

thanks!! Managed to sync via trigger out. But I still have one more problem:

To use trigger out, i need to activate the trigger in the beat (which is the rim shot, in the 626). It just happens that some of the beats in 626 aren't editable...so I can't put a rim shot in there to activate the trigger...

Is there really no way to sync them via the "Tape Sync" in the 626? I've tried connecting them to the Volca Bass, but nothing happens...

Either, I've got many beats running in sync via trigger out, thanks guys ;)[/quote]

no that tape sync is different.
note that you have 2 pattern banks on the 626. 1st bank is
all preset/non-editable(?A/B/C?), 2nd bank is the user presets,
eg: D/E/F
can't remember if these are correct, but you use shift to toggle
between the preset/user banks, for each of those three buttons.

if you like a preset pattern, just copy it to one of the user locations.
then you can fill in the rimshot hits, and turn the volume down for
that sample/voice. fill all steps to get regular 16th sync, or start
taking out rimshots for more creative playback of your Volca pattern.

i started out quite a while ago with just a 626 and a 101 where i'd record
a few notes, didn't even know how to put in rests and ties. gets good
results.

Teachers always want the students listen to them carefully when they are teaching in the class and it can also help to reach the speed of their teaching quality and also the efficiency as well and now if you have such kind of need then you can just obtain the VHF Signal Jammer online such as the mobile phone and WiFi jammer to help you reach the goal.
