where did the original samples used for this library came from ?
is the glissando speed adjustable ? only 8va glissandos ?

WavesLab property !
Glissando is fixed 8ves.

is that possible to make library that can do any (not only 8va fixed) realistic glissando / portamento (disco/soul orchestral arrangements) for Kronos ?

Yes , but not yet for a workstation , required features are missing for real time control , like legato Up/Down recognition functions !!
Not to mention that overall size in that case will exceed 10 Gbs !!!
It's too early for such projects for today's keyboards !

Unless I'm maturing and aging at an exponential rate, these are great sounding strings. All the string packages from the various manufacturers are all pricey, but I do like the xy and sw setups for these sounds. The Karo and Kronos string sets are cool too; but, congratulations Anthony, as I would like them on my next Kronos...no more extra ram left on this one. :) :) :)

You make great sounding instrument patches!

Shame about the price.
If this was half the price i would've bought it already. Same with the Guitar Suite.

As is not so much.

Great sounds though!

Prices have been accurately estimated according to Korg store stuff.
For instance , in order to get the same contents of Strings Suite (not talking about development level) ,
you have to purchase at least 2 commercial EXs libraries and price will be definitely doubled , if you get my point ...
At the other hand a Ferrari is always a Ferrari , but you can buy any car to do the ordinary Job. :D

What is NUANCE control?

Posted: Mon Jul 14, 2014 1:23 pm
by AntonySharmman
Nuances are the different sound timbres of a native music instrument according to the way it's played ,
relative to instrument articulation.
In sound modeling we use a very popular related term "Dynamic Nuance Control"

Lol.. Yes I know what nuance is. What is your nuance control? What is it actually doig?

Didn't wanna say nothing but the Nuance thing we call Bologni. DNS is a feature
on the PA Arrangers and not on Kronos, we all or most of us know what Kronos
can do and some probably more then you. Using fancy names would not make
the product better. Kronos is not Kontakt and it has NO CONTROLS at all that can
do any Bologni or Nuances or ANYTHING in that field that you claim.
All Kronos can do is a simple and basic Sample control, at most Layering and
nothing else.
Sometimes i just can not take the new language people are coming up with.

Prove me wrong.

,,Real Time Controlled Articulation'' translates to Clicking on SW 1 and 2
to basically turn Oscilators on and off, maybe FX on and off and few other things.
But as RTCA sounds very cool, even Korg Engineers will drool over it.
Sorry, was just injecting some reality, being doing Sound engineering for over 20 years
and to date that's how i make my living.
