Korg pa3x mini recording studio? Possible!?

Hello,

I was wondering if I can record vocals in Sound Sequencer? I like the way you can record an instrument track in sequencer and if you make a mistake, you can re-start recording where you left off.

Can I do the same with vocals? Start recording vocals over the song I created, and if I make a mistake, re-start the recording where I left off?

I find it hard to record vocals in real time, it would be much easier if I could somehow record small fragments of the vocals?

Is there anyway that could be achieved?

Technically Sequencer is recording Midi data, not sound.
Vocal is 100% audio, at least human , Sequencer has not availability to record Audio, so if you need something for editing your voice you have to use some external devices or software.
My favorite recorder/editor for audio is Ableton Live, you can do both, vocal and midi.

Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't necessarily looking to edit, but more of a pause/re-start kind of thing, as if I am trying to record vocals, I would have to get the whole song right from the first go, which is pretty difficult. Is there another method I can use to record bits of the song at a time?

I think any DAW software do a job, you can merge/split midi there.
Maybe be good for you to use software, help you to get all piece by piece.
Software also allow you to select part of song and looped. Almost all Artists use programs to record their songs, creating doesn't have to mean performance live, you can do part at the time. You think Enigma play live his songs??? Is all prerecorded.

Refresh MP3 recorder function. Overdub might answer your particular question. I wouldn't suggest buying a PA3X-Pro instead of a good DAW. :3dno:
