KorgX50 64bit DAW Audio Driver Fix?

Hello Everybody,

I'm having trouble getting the audio from my x50 to Ableton Live 9 (64bit edition) via the USB-B to USB-A cable. I can get the x50 to work as a MIDI controller but I can't get any of the great sounds from the x50 to Ableton Live because Ableton cannot find the x50's related audio driver.

Reinstalling and updating the USB-MIDI driver software did not fix it and I can't get the x50 OS software to update which might be the problem as suggested in a related thread here:

Is there an update or a fix for this?

Hi Albioni,

The X50 synthesizer do not send or receive any audio via USB. The USB connection is for MIDI only. So you need to use a separate audio interface to send the X50 audio to your DAW.
