Loading multiple .sng files

Has anyone experienced the following when loading multiple sequences? When I try to do this, the selected sequences load as I have selected them, but there are always 3 or 4 random ones labeled "New Song 169". They don't contain any data, but appear in random locations. I'm using OS 2.1.1 and get the same results from both the hard drive and a flash drive. If so, how do you combat it?

I quite often have this when building a set of songs...never quite sure why...I usually build a set list when finished and use that

I have experienced these "New Song XXX", too, and I think that it is not connected to the fact whether you load multiple .sng files.
You get a "New Song XXX" entry in your .sng file, as soon as there is a change in any of the song parameters.
For example, move to a "NEW SONG" slot and just modify the volume of track 1, and nothing else, then save the .sng file, the song slot in which you did that little modification will then be stored into the .sng file together with all other "real" songs.
You can check for such "ghost" songs by going in Disk Mode, selecting the .sng file, and pressing Open button in order to see the list of songs within that .sng file. All entries, that are named "New Song" are most probably not real songs.
How to get rid of these "ghost" songs:
load the .sng file, go the slot that contains the "ghost" song, and choose "Initialize Song" from the page menu. Then save the .sng file.
