Sampling board potentiometer and display

I've got an LE with the sampling board installed, but noticed, that the potentiometer (sampling input level) is missing.
Could anyone, please, guide me to the schematics (if there are any) or just let me know, what was the original value?

The second thing: what's the type of the display in LE? Mine is getting strange artifacts (like permanent, dark dots) which are visible even if switched off.
