I don't know exactly but I heard that some kontakt versions can export uncompressed sample groups , so you can just remap them manually
using original library mapping as example/source

Isn't there a version of the 01/W Dyno Piano in the HD-1 programs? Or
at least samples of it.
DX7II electric pianos can be had by the hundreds by downloading the free
DX7 .syx files that are on the internet. Search for "downloadable DX7 patches" There are hundreds of them available for free, you just have to look for them.
Any DX7 .syx file can be loaded by the Kronos, which turns it into a Mod-7
program. I've add Kronos effects and tweaked the programs from there to come up with some really awesome FM pianos and other FM sounds, like the "Doogie Rhodes", the "Law & Order" Rhodes, "Wireclav", various Michael Jackson FM bass sounds, etc.
I guess the point I want to make is why waste sample space when you have a virtual FM engine in the Kronos already, just begging to be used.

I was thinking the same thing. Why not use real FM in the Kronos from Mod-7?

I use mod-7 already with some sysex , but there are some marvelous EP sounds out there ( FMTines by gospelmusicians, made using SY99 and it's original filters ) , which I can't reproduce with mod-7 yet , because I don't know how and what exactly to adjust in mod-7 to get desired tone changes in Epiano sound . When I learn how to do that , I'd probably become very happy ))
Also there is a problem with loading of sysex files with non-standard size , which may contain ep sounds that I'm looking for.

They sound great for me, but unfortunately many of the signature sounds like the famous DX EP were created on a DX7 II which means basically they are a layer of two different FM sounds. The Kronos can't import those sounds directly from DX7 II sysex.

may be it's because the syx file gives the same "basic sound" but without original DX7 keyboards FX processing and yamaha filters, that give "that desirable sound" in result
I got dx7 rhodes sysex from here (unfortunately now there's only redirect link to yamaha forums)
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve.sims/index.html
and I think it's very close to what I've been looking for , but as I said , I'm not very familiar with FM and I don't know what parameters to adjust to vary the sound , but I'm trying to get smth. good putting insert FX like exciter/enchancer , modulation fx , adjusting EQ
also try that preamp and mic modeling inserts
Percussion condenser preset in st.mic modeling+preamp works great for me , at least right now))
also there is Tine EP DMP in kronos "rhodes engine" , I use this as "release noises" simply turning off the "Harmonic sound" level parameter
and putting this "release noises" patch in a combi mode together with DX Rhodes patch or as second Exi in program mode
just as an example here's how it sounds (without preamp inserts)
