Bass drum trigger from foot switch

Since no one else has responded, I thought I would give it a go.
There is no way of assigning one of the footswitch inputs to trigger a note directly. On the other hand, you could create a 1 bar sequence with a time signature of 1 at the fastest tempo available and make sure the sequence is set to play only once (not loop in other words). Record a single kick. Then assign one of the footswitch inputs to Sequencer Start/Stop. The only issue is how quickly the sequence resets after playing and stopping on its own. Given that the sequence is only 1 measure long and that measure only has 1 beat and the tempo is set to the fastest possible, you should be able to trigger the kick drum fairly quickly.
You may also be able to use this idea with the arpeggiator but since I don't use that function, I don't know if the arps loop all the time or not.
Please let me know how it goes. Be aware that I have not tried this personally, but it should work.
