EXB-Radias on E-Bay for $500 with shipping. Seems a little high, but I know they're hard to find. Is it worth it at this price? I'd really be stretching my budget, but I'm tempted.
Opinions?
Thanks!

The original price was $300 so that is a bit high. It integrates very nicely with the M3 and it is a nice sound engine. But at that price I would have to think twice.
Maybe you should look at some other sound modules as an alternative and see if there is anything to your liking within your budget. You could midi it from the M3 and route the audio back into the M3 to make use of the FX.

Thanks for the response.
What modules would you consider and what are the pros and cons of using them?
I'm still learning the M3, the main thing I am interested in is the enhanced KARMA features. I had the original KARMA and sold it to get the M3-M. The power and complexity of KARMA has amazed me from the outset. The M3 has a much better sound and the KARMA 2 is incredible. If I use a separate module (of which I already have a few) can I apply the KARMA to the audio I pass through?
I know I should be able to find this pretty easily. (In fact, I'm going to do some research on this right now!)

The Waldorf Blofeld looks interesting in your budget range ($499 from Sweetwater). I don’t have one so I can’t specifically recommend it but many others like it.
Any external module works great with the M3. I don’t really see any cons in using one. The pro for the EXB is you save some space since it’s an internal add in.
You can route M3 Karma output to anything via MIDI. It can produce some amazing effects when routed to other synths although it will take a bit of tweaking to get good results. Karma is a beast.

You stole that. Literally. I have my Radias-R mounted on an M3-73 keybed. It's SO much better than the stock keybed.tedluk wrote:Hope I made a good decision- I purchased a Radias-R with and M3-88 keybed on E-Bay for $750. I haven't received it yet, but seems like a good price.
I still want a Kronos though! lol
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).
