Hi,
Before updating to OS 3.0 - I have a question regarding Firmware update released some time ago -
"KRONOS Sub-System Firmware Version 6.04"
Currently I still have system version 2.0.6. I have never made Firmware update. The question is: is it needed or necessary or recommended to do such Firmware update when updating to OS 3.0 ?
If so, should it be done before OS update or after? Or maybe new OS 3.0 already includes everything that is needed, also things that were included in Firmware update?

I would say it is recommended, but not necessary, to update the firmware before updating to OS 3.02.
But be prepared to another new firmware update, a Kronos user report that the boot screen still show SGX-1 instead of the SGX-2. As far as I remember, the boot screen with the nine engines was introduced with the firmware 6.04, so I think the boot screen is hold by the firmware and a new release would probably be released.

I also still have the old firmware and when I updated OS3 there was not any problem at all.

Where is that?

Or did you mean Version 2.04?

Or did you mean Version 2.04?

Look at

At the end of Operating System tab, you'll see "Kronos Sub-system Firmware Version 6.04".

Sorry, in fact between OS 2.0.6 and OS 2.1, not at the end.

I can't recall doing this update before so now I'll go check if my version was updated.

It would be nice if we could update the Firmware through a network connection and not just usb.

Where can you check that ..? It does not seem to be shown anywhere in global

I think it appears in the Updater software when you run that. It tells you if your Kronos needs updating.

Otherwise I don't know how you can find out.
