Volca Sample Frequency Dip

I just got a Volca sample and notice that when I run it through a spectrum analyzer there is a huge dip in the mid bass from about 250hz-400hz. It seems to be an artifact of the crossover frequency of the bass isolator because it moves higher in frequency the higher the bass boost is. When the bass boost is maxed out the dip is at about 900hz.

Has anyone else noticed this, or does my unit potentially need servicing?

Thanks very much

Hi, yes this is normal. I mean mine has it too so it must be a design choice of the EQ curve. It is rather easy to hear.
I am not very happy with it either. It asks for more subtle handling of the EQ knobs.
I think it is just made for dj style "cut and throw that mf beat back in!" action.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I actually had a chance to check out another unit and it exhibited the same eq behavior.
