Start Up Failure after OS 3.02 Update
I have been enjoying my OS 3.02 update on my Kronos 61 for about 2 days then on the third day I suddenly get a 'system start-up failure'. Done all the things suggested in this forum like re-seat the ram, install a new ram, re-plug the SSD cables, install a new SSD, etc. Tried to boot up from a Samsung SE-208 usb-dvd drive with the restore DVDs, same thing, 'system start-up failure' . The red line showing how far the boot up is going stops at the same spot right below the middle of the letter S on the word MUSIC. I see a brief blink on the disk drive status light as soon as the switch is turned on. There is light around around the joystick. The fan on SSD spins. There is a green light on the MB.
Does the system update to OS 3.02 have anything to do with it, (which I doubt since I was able to use it after the update), or is it a MotherBoard problem ?

Re: Start Up Failure after OS 3.02 Update
Are u using a UPS ? A flaky power strip could also contribute to a component failure. What I have gathered is that some components within the Kronos are touchy about inconsistent power . Or a surge.fpar wrote:I have been enjoying my OS 3.02 update on my Kronos 61 for about 2 days then on the third day I suddenly get a 'system start-up failure'. Explain that step ... did you boot from DVD ? Reinstalled OS ? Reinstalled in full format mode ?fpar wrote:Tried to boot up from a Samsung SE-208 usb-dvd drive with the restore DVDs, same thing, 'system start-up failure' .
If you can't boot from DVD (with all media unplugged) , try another USB drive !
Since you can see boot red bar then motherboard is just fine , SSD might be the next step to investigate , after
a full format via DVD installation !

Tried to boot from DVD using the following drives, Samsung SE-208, LG SP60N and an older Sony powered DVD drive, same thing red bar stops on the same spot. Was not able to reinstall OS because I could not even get to the point of having choices for reinstallation of the OS.AntonySharmman wrote:Explain that step ... did you boot from DVD ? Tried a new SSD, Toshiba Q series 128 GB with the DVD drive combinations same thing.

When you see Kronos logo and boot screen bar , you do not boot from USB DVD but from SSD , read OS installation manual !
By default , boot priority is USB port ... further investigation needs laboratory !

I beg to disagree, but I tried booting with the old SSD, unplugged, with a new empty SSD plug in with or without a usb DVD plug in and I still see Kronos logo and boot screen bar. The Kronos logo is in the firmware which I am not sure where it is stored.

Thanks for the reminder buddy, I saw that post so I made sure I didnt do the same.lonelagranger wrote:I am not trying to be rude, but you don't have the DVD drive sitting on the keyboard, do you. Someone else had the same problem as you and it was caused because of him having the DVD drive coming into contact with some of the buttons on the Kronos.

You always see logo 'cause of Bios , that I want to say is that your USB Drive is not recognized for any reason ,
and when it does then the proper message will be appeared , so as I told you , read advanced manual about this ...
