Are USB Flash Drive Connections Flaky?

I've tried a few USB sticks of various storage sizes. A couple don't seem to read at all, and now I'm using an 8GB that reads sometimes and not other times...

... Are there any brands or sizes known to work better than others? Also, are they reliably hot-swappable?

I had the same problem with a cheap 32GB SDHC card in the back of the PA900 after a short while it died, try using the best quality you can find it dos make a difference as I found out

i never had an issue with my pa900 or PA3x
