Just wanted to make sure I have this straight....
I have 2 Kronos.... one as my studio controller and the other for live use.
If I purchase new pianos or bundles I can only install on one or the other but not both?

Correct. You must pay twice.

Yep. Banks should be registered to a person or account, not a Kronos. As it is, you cannot install a bank on two Kronos you own, and you cannot transfer a bank to another Kronos you own.

Ok. That's the way I understood it too.
Thanks!

Pretty poor service tbh.

And yeah if you get the 2nd code for free or cheaper there may be abuse. But if you bought 2 units (or more) giving something back shows your happy with your customers. Makes up for any scumbag abuse.

These days, most software developers give users the ability to run a program on a desktop PC and a laptop at the same time. It should be the same with Kronos banks. Same remark regarding the ability to transfer licences to another machine.

The inability to transfer each purchase to more than the one registered keyboard must be loosing Korg sales on two counts, less software sales, & less second keyboard sales.

If they gave each registered user a different software activation code for each of their registered boards (with each software purchase), it would still be as secure for Korg.. there would be no increased risk of people pirating soundware.

Korg's policy on this is utterly ridiculous, if you buy two or more kronos instead of support your getting a slap in the face for your brand loyalty.

I have only ever made two soundware purchases because of this policy, I know for sure I would have paid for more, if I knew it was transferable if, or when I bought the next model of kronos.

Real life result.. since I bought the kronos I have bought soundware just twice (including the new sound pack),, and now with OS 3.0.2 and the new Berlin grand etc. I am happy to stick with my kronos X

You couldn't be more right. What a way to treat a customer that has bought 2 of your highest priced keyboards. Shame on you Korg.
