If for some reason i ever need to install, just the factory sounds on KRONOS
from the included disc's.
Can i use a laptop pc dvd drive, or must i use an external dvd drive?
I was reading the pdf file, and it explain's it like you have to use an external dvd drive, but im not sure if i understood it right.
I hope i never need to reinstall anything but i was wondring if i need to purchase an external dvd drive to do this, just in case i ever need too reinstall.
Thanks to anyone who has info on this.

Hello.
You would need to use a USB DVD Drive, but the chances of you ever having to do this in the first place are extremely remote.
Regards
Sharp.

Re: Install factory sound's
I expect you already know that you would only have to do this if your hard drive fails as all the file you need exist are on your drive.spaceman3 wrote:If for some reason i ever need to install, just the factory sounds on KRONOS

What I do is keep a copy of the factory setup, plus my own periodical backups, both on the kronos itself, on the disc, but also copied via usb stick to my laptop, which in turn backed up to a cloud service, that way I always have it, and in theory can set up any kronos with my settings anywhere in the world,so long as I can access the net.
You say unlikely, but what if catastrophic accident, or board gets stolen? Insurance will cover the board, but won't cover your setups, so don't rely on keeping them on the kronos itself.
