I thought it would be nice if us loving electribe 2 users were to share our e2 sound/patch creations.

One sound I love is the FM bass sound found in many Sega Megadrive / Genesis games. That sound was originally generated from within the Yamaha FM synth chip, the YM2612, that sat inside the console.

I think the closest oscillator we have to FM on the electribe is the VPM sounds. Anyway, I did a short video to explain...

damn dude! Thank you so much! I was wondering if the e2 could do (or come close to) FM sounds. To be honest I haven't even delved into all of the oscillators or pcms. I feel I've barely scratched the surface. One thing at a time. Many thanks for the acceleration!!

You could limit a channel to say 4 steps and have it act like an arp.

Well done, great work.
A week ago i made a cover version of mr fingers - can you feel it.
(I used a tutorial video which explained how to recreate that song in ableton. I managed to do the same, on my electribe 2.

Maybe ill post a video of it right here, should i do that?

Edit: here is a link to the tutorial. It was cool to recreate this on the electribe 2.

ITS quality wise one of my worst video's on youtube, but it is only to give an example what the electribe 2 is capable of. For the bass i use osc pulse, with edit on zero. Did Some lowpass filtering with the Int knob and stuff, and as fix the chorus. In my previous post you Will find a youtube link to the tutorial i used, but for now this is kind of how it sounds on the electribe. The ipad suddenly ran out of memory so it is a little bit short for all the details. ITS just an idea, so dont blame me for spamming bad video's. http://youtu.be/epAB1_At0bc

I uploaded the whole project, so you can load it in your own tribes. Just listen and/or be creative with it. Its not 100 procent the same, but you can delete things, change things and play around.
