padKontrol controlling Electribe ESX drum parts

Can someone help me out with this? I have them connected correctly via midi cable, both are on channel 10 and the pads on the pK are assigned to the correct corresponding midi notes, but nothing. The ESX makes noise fine on its own, and I have my Axiom 25 controlling the two keyboard parts on the ESX without issue. I'm stumped.

Have you checked the midi cable works with something else to rule that out?
Check midi filters.
How have you got both Axiom and Padcontrol plugged into Electribe?
Check to see if the Axiom can control drums by changing channel to 10.This may help narrow it down to the Pad.

Thanks for the reply. The cable works without issue, so that can be ruled out. I don't have both the Axiom and the padKontrol connected at the same time through the midi in. They technically are both connected if routed through Ableton live, with midi going from one source via USB and the other via DIN. I've never routed them that way at this point - just looking to get the velocity sensitive input of the PK pads into the ESX.

Need a ESX user to comment at this point with regards to using DIN & USB midi at the same time...
Does it work or is it one or t'other?

Try unplugging whichever socket the Axiom is connected to and see if you can sequence drums then.
