troubleshooting with the MS

Someone help me please! Just got my KMS, 2 problems:
1- connexion problem between mixrosampler sw editor : it shows thekorg is connected but when I try to upload/download bewteen the pc and the korg, I get this timeout message and nothing happens. I'm running win xp on my pc with the latest korg drivers...(I also got a korg MicroX, and no problems...)
2-when I drag a wave sample from my library onto the korg ms editor, it plays it twice as fast (or even more) as the initial speed. Been trying to resample the wave or anything else, playing with the bpm or pitch parameters, doesn't fix it...
ideas, anyone?
