New Music Product. The Jack Cap
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share my product with you, its the first product I've ever designed and i think its great, I've been testing them on my equipment for a month now and they work perfect,
Its called the Jack Cap and it is a small soft silicone tapered cap that slides into the 6.3mm jack inputs on your keyboard and creates a top protective cover preventing dust, sand, rain etc from making its way into your inputs,
Its also speeds up setting up time as i only use 2 of the 9 inputs on the back of the Nord Stage2 and 2 of the 12 on my Korg M3 so i leave these empty and cap the rest off, then i know without having to check which is the sustain input and which is the left mono input, voila, no more mistakes on dark stages when rushing to set up.
The caps push in gently and as they are tapered they form a tight fit so they don't fall out of the keyboards when im packing them back into their flight cases at the end of the night.
They are a no brainer for me, the Korg cost me £1,600 second hand and i bought the Nord Stage 2 brand new for £2.850. At these prices just spending a further couple of pounds makes perfect sense to me for the protection they offer,
Ive already had my equipment damaged from someone coming on stage during our set and spilling their pint.
The caps are for sale in packs of 6 for just £1.99 and £4.99 for a pack of 20.
Im currently offering free postage on both packs, thats £1.99 for 6 and ill pay the £1 postage and packing out of my own pocket, how generous is that.
I hope you think this is a good idea and would love it if you would buy some from me,
Ive already supplied a few music shops local to me in Yorkshire but you can buy them from eBay (search Jackcap) or direct from me by calling 01924 366555
My address if you want to call in and view them is
31 Brook Street, Wakefield, WF1 1QW tel 01924 366555 or 07570 031233

In black, I'd buy them ASAP. All of my gear is black and I play live and my rig is exposed.
Great idea regardless.

p.s. PLEASE make them in black.

Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).
Never bothered about dust on equiment because i think high quality equipment must be designed that way what it can handl any amount of dust.
But of cause dust is not good for human and animal health so it should be removed but this solution does not remove the sorce of problem which is dust.

I've sold some to a chap who plays outdoor gigs on the sea front. Sand is his main problem.
My concern when designing them was for liquid as last year a lady came onto stage from the audience. She wasn't allowed on stage and she spilled her drink because she was drunk.
It ruined some of my equipment.
That's why I created this.
It's not just dust you've to worry about.
Take care.

Hi. Thanks for the kind words.
Colour choice was a big decision.
I wanted them to stand out but I understand your concerns.
I've just ordered my second batch in red again.
But I will make sure my next order will be for Black ones as they seem a popular choice. But that could be a few months away as I've got 5,000 red ones on the way.

Looks like a product that everyone can copy.. Do you have any part of it
In a patent etc. Its a good product but one everyone can walk away with if
you're not careful.
