What synth engine would you most like? - heads up Korg!!

I'd love to see new engines added to the Kronos
1) MOSS
2) Radias
3) MS-2000
Would be great to be able to load sysex files from the Prophecy, Z1, Moss EXB's, Radias and Radias EXB's natively. All of these synths are discontinued now so shouldn't be an issue with killing any sales for those synths.
I have all of them, and would love to consolidate them into my Kronos.
Poll attached - consider patch compatibility for your old sound library being built in when you answer

I almost voted for the Minikorg. I have one but I haven't turned ut on in years. Kinda afraid it'll blow up. I always wanted a monopoly and having one in the kronos would be awesome.

Hmmm...interesting BUT...the MOSS is already in except few of the Models.
The Wavestation is there, Radias and MS2000 are there, EDS is already
there just with another name...well you have few valid models but the rest
are already all in or make NO sense...like EDS for example.

There is no such thing as a radias in the Kronos, the radias with its combination of phase distortion and subtractive synthesis and other things, just cant be compared wth the subtractive synthesis of the Al1? Can it?
Thats why i am hoping for an engine based on virtuall modelling (acoustic and analogue) where you can combine those models to create new sounds...

Pardon my noob question BassariSudios, but which engine in the Kronos is EDS? Is it the HD1 or another? I would love to have an M3 expanded but the
ones I have found are a bit cost prohibitive (with the 73 keyboard) but the sounds are killer. Also is there a sound bank of M3 sounds for the Kronos? I have never seen one listed.

Was going to post something similar to BasariStudios.
Engine probably isn't the right word. RADIAS is built off of the AL-1. The AL-1 first appeared in the OASYS and is now in the KRONOS. There is no RADIAS engine. Same goes for MOSS. MOSS is already in, with the exception of a couple models. Read about it here where it explains what MOSS is:

Would I love to see the KRONOS read in old patch data, absolutely but it's not even close to being possible. I *STILL* have my Triton with MOSS card and RADIAS and combined with my KRONOS all are similar yet very different. FYI, the EXB-RADIAS and RADIAS sounds weren't even compatible.

I'd like to see a true additive synthesis engine and an 8-bit computer sound chip emulator like the SID station.

Personally I would really like additional FX rather than engines - a better vocoder, better "analog style" overdrive, more bitcrushing options, etc.
I'm not missing too much although I suppose more analog synth models are always welcome. Often it's more about the interface and character than the options.

I agree with SanderXpander on this one. Some more convincing analog filtering would be cool, expand the multi filter somehow?

Yeah that too! It annoys me that the IFX filter HAS to use an LFO. Sometimes I'd like to apply a filter to a whole combi (like an orchestral thing) and I can't. Good filters as IFX/TFX would be great for a lot of modern sound design.

Proper additive engine would be great. Mono/Poly emulation would be also great.
New engine(s) for Kronos

Korg could do a lot worse than to include some sort of decent, quick sampler that emulates an MPC or dare I say it, Electribe. It should include on-screen pads or xoxo interface. I know people will say 'but you can go into global mode and create a drum program' and I say 'Yes but it is an AWFUL workflow and painfully slow'. Surely it would be great to load samples from the hard disc straight into replica pads and then edit the pad accordingly?? You should then be able to save the set-up pad device as a program. To this day, I am amazed that Korg haven't thought to include this functionality as all of the hardware is there and it would only be a small programming excercise to build it. Actually, they should open up the Kronos to allow programmers to create VST instruments for themselves... Now there's a thought.

As an owner of an MS2000BR, there are certain things that the Kronos does not do that the MS2000 does far better, mainly the vocoder and the distortion circuit. I actually added the my old MS2k to my live rig specifically because of the vocoder.

... Yes, what a gaff to not be able to import from Triton or M3 (or any other legacy products). Again, I am sure it is just a case of writing a program that will do the conversion. In some cases you would need to include a different multi-sample but hey, I have noticed that the Kronos includes many of the same multi-samples from the afformentioned so many patches could, in theory be replicated. Much as I like Korg, I can't help but think that they have not invested nearly enough themselves in the Kronos. It could be the most successful, brilliant product ever but fails for want of time and love from it's creators. And don't get me started on the naff, placky data entry wheel....!

I second this one. I would love to have more accurate sounding guitar amps. The ones that are in there have some similarities, however I would REALLY prefer to have something that can make an electric guitar sound like an electric guitar.
