a Combi is already made up of several layers of Programs. were you trying to mix 2 or more combis? the short answer is no. but as long as you haven't used up all 16 slots from your first combi, you could just manually add programs. Just get the program names from your 2nd combi and add them to your first combi. and take note of the effects routing for the programs you're adding because you'd need to assign them manually as well. Otherwise, it may not sound the same. :-D

I don't necessarily want to add any sounds to the combination, I want to split it, as in have the combination in the left hand and a synth sound in the right. It will only let you do a layer or a split.

Help?

i think u can do this if you go into the combi and select the keyzone to half the keyboard for what you want to play in that range, and the synth sound on the other half of the keyboard

idk if u can do this in a way where its like combi + synth sound but u can just go into the combi you want to use, add the synth on a empty track and then do the keyzones?

a combi lets you layer, split, or velocity switch up to 16 programs across the entire keyboard. the layer and split buttons on the kross' panel is only the tip of the iceberg. :-)

i agree with asleep by dawn, just specify the keyzones for each program in your combi, keeping them to the left hand side, then add the synth program that you want, with your right hand keyzone specified.

i would strongly suggest watching the Part 2 tutorial for the kross (programs and combinations) on the official korg youtube channel. :-)
