Memory card

Post by JamSS33 »

So
What is the "memory card" for the electribe?
I thought it was an SD card. Formatted it and messed around trying to install the changes to the parameter guide.

Is this the correct card?

What is the best way to import/export, use with ableton, and import samples in the machine ? Maybe some things are not possible. Still having fun with this grey box.
this is exciting all I don't know learning more thanks <3

I don't own one, but I can tell you the sampler isn't released so you won't ever load samples into the one you bought.

It should be SD card. Did you format in the electribe? What size is the card it perhaps doesn't support the really large ones SDXC?

Best of luck.

What do you mean 'install the changes to the parameter guide'?

E2 card transfer to ableton lite

Post by JamSS33 »

The card has been formatted in the E2. I plug the card reader into my Macbook and it's confusing how to get the data into ableton. Going to keep trying. Thanks.

I formatted the card and it is a 8 GB card. Using All in 1 mini card reader. I don't know is it supports SDXC. I will look into it. Thanks.

Looking at this I can see Sigma suggested that you may not have the sampler version - i think you refer to it as "little grey box" as well, which implies you have the synth.

If it's not the sampler, you can't import samples.
If it is the sampler - format the card in the electribe, and then copy your samples onto the card.
From the manual
Memory cards that are usable in this system
Memory cards usable in this system are: SD cards ranging in
sizes from: 512MByte to 2GByte, and SDHC cards of 32GByte
or less.
TIP This system does not support SDXC cards.
