Kronos 2 delivered and fully operative

Post by piangio »

After 4 month i got it.
I upgraded from Kronos x because of some problems related to keys (originally I bought an used one kronos x).
Wonderful and absolutely perfect. No noise at all from fan. Touch screen very sensitive and more precise than K x. Same sound but korg programmers did a total restyle of all of sounds inside.
Pc editor it's not up to date and works but it doesn't completely match with K2.
kronos 2 seems to be a little bit heavier than Kx.
Berlin piano it's not beautiful as the old piano library. It's perhaps useful for classic music... Few tweak possible.
Please ask, if you need...

Good News!
Pleased to hear you're happy with your new Kronos.

Questions....
Do the keys respond/play differently ?

Also,are they any quieter ?

Thanks

My feeling is that the keyboard is more accurate. My first kronos x had noisy keys and more "plastic feel". But I bought it used. This new one is absolutely perfect for me. Good to play almost everything, from piano, through organs to leads... So it is not a "real piano" keyboard (as the roland rd800 gx for example) but it feels very good indeed... In my personal top ten chart I put it a little bit after yamaha's motif/s90 keyboard.

Lesson I won't repeat, unless I really know the seller.
My previous used korg X5D had dead keys and a dead tac switch.
It took me a long time to realize it was impossible to program because the button was dead, never again.

Keyboard

Although the word 'accurate' probably isn't right, it is a good way to describe the feel of the keyboard. It feels more precise than my other ones - hard to say exactly why.

Do the keys clatter as much as the previous model ?
Or is there less "typical hammer action keybed" noise ?

Keys have a good action and are considerably less noisy of my previous x88... But as I already said I bought an used K88x...
