Electribe 2 Midi Chain Issue

Just wondering if anyone is using the electribe 2 in a Midi Chain.
I Am using a Roland MX-1 as midi Master, i have the electribe midi connected as a slave and then i am trying to sync a Microbrute as a slave to the Electribe.
The Electribe syncs no problem with the Mx-1, however the Microbrute will not sync with electribe, Ive also tried a volca sample at the end of the chain and no
sync either.
I have Tried the reverse whereby the electribe is the Master, the MX-1 is slave & the micro brute is slave to MX-1, this syncs fine,
Ive set the Electribe clock to external Midi & Auto.
So it looks like the electribe is breaking the chain Anyone else have this issue?
