Using Audacity and multi-track recording with Volca's

I am getting to the stage where I need to make multi-track recordings with my Volca's.

Has anybody got any hints on how to get the mutlipe tracks synced with each other i.e so the parts are actually in time with each other.

Is it just a matter of lining up the track's once the recording is made.

I see potential problems with "lining up the tracks after recording" as you might have a slight tempo-drift between the Volcas which add up over time.
(even if you set manually them to the same bpm)

When I plan to do several recordings at various times I always use the same master clock (in my case provided by my Yamaha AW1600 recording studio) - then it is "a piece of cake" to add additional tracks and (if necessary) transfering them to Audacity.

I would be using a tr-8 as the master, I just wanted to know if there was any best practise in using audacity this way.
