Big bang on the PA system when PA300 is switched on or off

Post by ewart »

Hello All,

Have any of you noticed that there is a loud bang on the PA system when the PA300 (maybe with all the others too i.e. PA600/900...) is switched on or off.

Is there any way of avoiding this (besides of course putting on/off the Pa system before putting on/off the PA300) ?

Thanks & best regards

Reduce your volumes on the Pa300 as well as the PA system. You should power up your keyboard before turning on the PA system to avoid the "pops". Doing power up the other way around can cause your equipment harm.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's exactly what I do after I heard a big 'pop' the first time but I've never heard such a sound while switching off my Yamaha. I've also not seen a Yamaha keyboard taking so long to load the OS as we have with Korg - maybe the higher versions do.
