headphone impedance

hello,
the Kronos impedance is 33 ohms for the headphone output,
which impedance should I buy for my headphone : 32, 80 or 250 ohms ?

I use Beyerdynamic T90 headphones at 150 Ohms and the Kronos drives them easily. I'm listening at 1/4 volume. You will be okay with any you select volume-wise --- but if you go with the really high end like Audeze, make sure you can return them if they don't drive.
To me, the bigger question is closed or open. The T90's are open, and I love them. Would never go back to closed (in my music room). You have to decide based on where you play whether to get open or closed headphones.

I am using the DT880pro semi open, I love them but there are occasion I would like a good pair of closed around as well but if I was to have one it would be the semi open best f both world for me. My DT are 250ohms and sound great. I use them with the Kronos my mac a Denon home surround amp all sound great. I even use them with my iPhone or kids iPads and they sound great as well.

Physics says , if an audio amplifier output provides 1 watt rms at 33 Ohm , then when your speaker's resistance
is tripled (99 Ohm) then total rms produced power is sub tripled to 1/3 Watts !
Obviously overall volume of your headphones will be low in 250 Ohm especially for semi-open pair of headphones ...

My DT990s at 250 ohms are easily loud enough. My in ears are 33 ohms and I don't think I would survive putting the volume up more than a third. You'll be fine.

I also use 250 ohm 'phones and have never needed to turn up beyond half, usually much lower.

Well , I wrote you about the theory but if you more like an example then here it is :
I own Sennheiser HD 800 for my studio purposes that are close to 300 Ohm , all look nice when I listen to
the overall custom made Kronos Combinations that are all equalized to similar volume (-3db) , at the 30%
of volume slider , but when I develop lower volume sound timbres & Fxs that are sometimes - 16 db lower
than boby instrument timbre then the 100% of slider isn't enough to monitor frequency details , a headphone
amplifier is required and I wish I had purchased 32 Ohm headphones !
I hope you can consider now my theoretical point !
