Updated from 0 to v2.1 appeared to be successful LEDs loaded to S8 and the play LED was lit at the end. After a start up the synth ribbon and drum button sounds worked but I could not record or play anything.

Korg seems to have removed v2.0 update possibility so,
Tried re-update in several different methods though when i do the lights jump straight to:
Synth, BD, SN, S1, S2, S7, S8 - are on
Flux, Rec, Play - flashing

anyone got the ideas
pretty useless without rec or play.

Check that you remove all cables for sync in and out.
Check that global setting 8 is switched off -> when on, you're in daisy chaining mode, meaning, you need a pulse on sync in to start the sequencer, which stops automatically at the moment step 8 is reached.
