How likely is an EMX-3?

Clearly Korg dropped the ball this time around. My question is, what now? Is the era of the all in one groove box over or is Korg gonna redeem theirselves with a box that can rival the Elektrons? It seems to me that they have a chance to learn a lot from this failure. What do you guys think?

I think not everyone thinks the way you do that this is a failure or that Korg dropped the ball.
Also, given the release time frame between the EMX1 and the current electribe, if there is another version in the future, it's so far off as to not even warrant thinking about yet.

Korg Electribe 3: To be announced at
Summer NAMM 2025.
Will Korg include a QEF (quantum entanglement fiber optic port), or will they cheap out with yet another boring wireless audio/MIDI card?

Hello. I am from the future and just saw this thread. Sorry it will take me so long to respond. I will decide not tell you details about the Electribe3 when I arrive now, in the past, but I will eventually and will tell you then, and now, that it will generally be awesome and there were/will be mixed opinions on its arrival. The majority of users will create loads of great music with this new device just like they will/ have done with its predecessors. I must go now since I hear my past self coming home from work. While I'm here, change your password idiot and that hot chick at the mall will ruin your life so stay away. Time Paradox! Till we meet for the first time again!

In all fairness, I didn't claim that everyone felt the same way I did about the new electribes. This only applies to those who would understand why one would feel that they are a fail, and was thinking about the undenyable problems that could be avoided the next time around. If you love the latest versions then hey, more power to you. But we all know I'm not the only person thinking this.

Bit of both..
He's pretty much stopped any talk about the emx2 and has been posting about how the emx1 is still his favourite piece of kit

he's also done his most recent sets with the emx1.
i look forward to if he will ever to a e2 or es2 set, but i think he will only ever do a emx1 + es2 set.. just my prediction

Because Korg has stopped paying him to promote the E2s. It is funny in a way that we hear nothing from Korg and have someone like James Pullen for news and rumours.
Still waiting for my swappable firmware James!

I don't think there's been an EMX "2" yet. The Electribe doesn't seem like a successor to me, but rather a side step; a different beast like the EMX was to the ER. The EMX seemed to build upon the EM, but this new one takes some ideas from the EMX and then heads into completely different territory.

If they e2 continues to be referred to as the emx2, it really should be called edmx2. This things is dripping with festival edm demos.

My grey one just says Electribe, on the front panel and on Korg's website. And the black one just says Electribe Sampler, on the front panel and on Korg's website.
