Spleen's ES2 editor is awesome!

If you own an Electribe Sampler I consider it the only way to work. For one, being able to load a batch of samples, overwrite existing samples, audition them and convert them to mono from stereo saves a lot of time that I would previously have to spend in another editor. This thing, for now, is the *very best* ES2 editor available.. ..and I believe Spleen was doing everyone here a favor at the request of the other forum users, not maliciously bending the rules.
You can get the editor here:

It's very disappointing and unfortunate that dutchcow has been dragged into this too when it's not his job to point out the fact that rules were being broken. It annoys me even more to see that the person who is actually breaking the rules knowingly continues to break the rules, never contacting any moderator.
..ummmm... Not exactly. In this post, explaining the forum rules:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... c&start=15
..we find dutchcow acting like a 4-year-old child, dragging himself into this. If the moderator workload is so severe, perhaps an appropriate user of applicable Korg gear could be chosen to moderate each respective forum? Then at least someone could be properly informed about what is actually going on?

Sauce, it's great that you like the new editor Spleen created. Now saying that, was all the negativity in the rest of your post really that necessary?
Focus on the AWESOME (you think the app is great)!
Oh and don't forget to thank everyone here who helped out in the R&D on this project. It was truly a collaborative effort. Enjoy

Hi sauce.
ummmm... Not exactly. In this post, explaining the forum rules:
As you can see from the screen shot you posted, his message was not received.
we find dutchcow acting like a 4-year-old child, dragging himself into this
Responding by calling him names involving yourself in this is rather ironic and unproductive.
I'm sure you agree, nobody here wants to get into an argument. Spleen is the one who broke forum rules and as far as I'm concerned, the issue has been resolved.
No negativity please. We are all here on our own free time and effort to help each other. Lets move on from this.
If the moderator workload is so severe, perhaps an appropriate user of applicable Korg gear could be chosen to moderate each respective forum?
I understand, but having an interest in a specific product range has nothing to do with being a moderator at all. Most of our time is spent removing posts by Spam Bots, blocking attacks, updating filters and so on, while also ensuring rules are followed.
None of which has anything to do with what instruments you own or what part of the forum you hang out on.
Kind regards
Sharp.

As I mentioned in the other post, I still question dutchcow's motivation.
There is another thead that is clearly spamm according to the forum rules yet I don't see one post from dutchcow on that thread.
It seems more like he has axe to grind with Spleen than being truly concerned about people spamming.
I have no issues with people advertising a product that is related to the gear we are discussing about.
In fact, I welcome it since I get to learn about a new product that can be useful to me that I won't have known about if it wasn't for the "spamm" post.

Hi jim555.
As I've already said, dutchcow didn't break any rules, and me being visibly active here right now has nothing whatsoever to do with him either.
I can't make myself any clearer than that so stop picking on the guy for nothing.
If Spleen had of invented a time machine, he would have still been expected to follow the forum rules.
Regards
Sharp.

SMK, you sent me an .all-file with two samples which I asked for when I was still waiting for my Electribe. Thanks for that. And also thank you for the link to the factory samples .all file. But I cannot agree with you claiming that r&d was a truly collaborative effort. It was me (and a friend of mine who is not around here) who reverse engineered the file and it was me writing every single line of code. So please stop stating that that you or the community did research and development work for me.

Yeah, "R&D" is more of a metaphor for the help that was rendered. Spleen, you got help from the group whether it was a little or a lot. I was simply asking someone who likes your work to give thanks those who helped you out.
No need to get all wrapped in semantics. Enjoy your week.

Stop picking on the guy for nothing? Did you even read his posts?

Yes, I'm reviewing quite a wide array of posts.
Please bear with me on all this. I assure you things will improve in this part of the forum for everyone.
Kind regards.

I could tell you that the windows version is nearly done and we are currently thinking about how to distribute it, but then I will get banned from the forum.

If you present it in the same way other programmers have done in the past:
1. Release it for free for members to test
2. Take in members suggestions and update accordingly
3. On app site have a DONATION BUTTON!
4. After some time and all of the bugs are worked out then...
5. Develop a deluxe version which you can charge a small amount for
Follow these simple steps for the Windows version and you won't get banned.
