Possible MIDI port failure?

Post by Derpancakes »

Hi! I've been using my Mk for quite a while with my PC, running VSTs and such through Savihost. I was using it today with no problems, when I dropped my phone onto my Mk. It was only a few inches, and everything was fine. When I picked up my phone I saw 'Pct' on the screen, so I assumed the phone just hit the 'Write' button. Upon trying to keep playing, nothing happened. I tried reinstalling the cable, adjusting Savihost settings, moving the MIDI-USB cable to a USB 2.0 slot, checking the Mk's MIDI settings, and even restarting my PC. Nothing. The cable lights up like it's working and is transmitting messages to the MK, but I never see it light up to signify that the converter is receiving MIDI from the synth. Has anyone ever had a problem like this, and if so, what could possibly be wrong/broken?
Thanks,
Jared
