Not sure about that one matey, but can you not install the live 9 lite that comes with the electribe and just use that to export?

Also you can always export the pattern as audio stems & open them in any other DAW.

sure, i could. but live 9 lite only has 8 audio tacks and 8 midi tracks. electribe has 16 tracks. at least theoretically.

Ah yeah right, forgot about that limitation.

I have not exported to Ableton so did not think of that. It might have been handy to have bundled a special Electribe edition of Live Lite to enable 16 Audio tracks.

I haven't exported the live sets in Ableton 8 yet, but I have seen that each audio file is stored on the Electribe and easily moved into a relevant audio clip.
I am not sure what I'm doing wrong with exporting the audio as live sets: There was one in there which exports (a pre-set)

I am assuming that there is some esoteric step which isn't shown in the user "guide". The "guide" is pretty much awful. You'll do better reading this forum and watching Youtube videos than following the guide.
