STS - Savings being lost

Post by subhap »

I have Style I recall via Songbook. And I make a change to the STS 2 and write it, and when I recall it, i loose the STS 2 settings?

What is it I need to do to preserve my STS 2 settings and the volume changes to Upper 2 and Upper 3. Do i also need to save Style settings as well as performance settings?

Very confusing?

I'm assuming that you have a Songbook registration set up with a factory style. If you are altering a styles sts after calling it up from Songbook then you need to save it in Songbook. It won't save on the style itself. The reason for this is that the style needs to retain it's own sts as they are balanced to that style and performances. You can alter them in Factory styles and change them if you wish by unlocking the OS to the style Banks. Not recommended by Korg as they occasionally update the OS and that would wipe out any changes that you made in there.
Hope that helps. :)
