I also instaled an ide ssd drive and wa perfect fit but i had the same issue you are having the TS does not recognize the drive.

So then did you find some other solution?

So, the above SD to IDE adaptor is not working with the TS OS. The adaptor itself is working with the desktop. So its some software compatibility issue with these convertors.

Recently My TS was hanging, & the culprit was the HD.

So I got a SD to IDE card adaptor, instead of going for an IDE HD which looks like this

so, My TS too was hanging, & the culprit was the HD, my enng removed it, n then booted. it started.

So got a IDE to SD card adaptor, instead of going for an IDE HD, but as of now its not recogn ...
