I have a feeling it may be something to do with the fact that the M50 doesn't register as an input midi device like it should.

This is strange though because Sibelius and device manager ...

I don't have MIDI in / out cables. Are they necessary? I would've thought I'd only need two leads from the M50 audio outputs into the Mbox to record audio.

As the keyboard came from America (and came with a different plug) I am using a Laptop plug into the M50 adaptor.

The plug says 250V on it and the M50 adaptor says "Input:100 - 240."

You basically have to play around with all the settings till you get a sound you want.

I make a strong synth string sound by drastically manipulating the original "Legato Strings" preset.
