you can do this using laptop (did not find any other way, see below). AFAIK drum track number is set by SysEx message.
I have tried to do this using:

Sadly M50 does not have sampling capability. Its bigger brother M3 does have it. Or you can look at older versions Trinity or Triton, they should have sampling capabilities as well.

If you are considering Karma, you could have look at other software arpeggiators (although I am not sure how advanced they are - it is thing I would to look at in near future).
