Yeah, the 404 is lame/no-go for overdubbing. 555 is better. But both do 'real' resampling, which is what was being discussed.

If you're in uk you can get them in a million places:

Digital village
Maplins

Etc etc

Guessing there would be plenty on eBay as well.

You can sample off anything that makes noise.

Either via a microphone or line connection.
