I'm "new" to the synth world and struggling to understand how to use my Korg M3 - when I have the time! But all this talk about the Kronos makes me feel like selling my Korg M3 and upgrading ...

I can see these DX7 patches will work on the Kronos, but will work on the M3?.....

Trying to look for the "classic" vintage synth sounds for my Korg M3 like the classic 80s sounds - Yamah ...

Awww darn it, I had a feeling this was the issue (non-compatibility).

Well I guess we'll have to keep an eye open on the conversion program - IF it ever appears, lol.
