could be the ribbon cable is not back the same way when you took it out. I found that out. I know its been a few years but just in case you came back to this thread

My ribbon cable that I originally had worked. Funny that it only goes in one way. If you go end for end it won't work. Or have it upside down it won't work. I did get some from Ali express. Just by ch ...

take the back off to replace the battery. You won't lose any sounds. I replaced my battery everything was back the same way.

I was sort of having the same problem with the x3,,,I turned the power on and there was nothing. I had to hold enter and down button and then push power button and it turned on.
