SAlve volevo chiedere se qualcuno sapeva come cambiare i prog rapidamente da tastiera in modo da suonarla in situazioni live velocemente, magari memorizzando un timbro per ogni tastino numerico sulla tastiera

Hi aethervision,
as you will see, this is an international forum where common language is english, so it's better to write your next post in english also to receive damn more answer Wink

btw, i translate your question:
aethervision asks if it possibile to have a quicker metod to change prog and/or combi especially for live situation.

i also add a little answer in italian Rolling Eyes

cioa, dunque quello che comunemente fanno tutti e risalvare i suoni che ti servono in location successive in modo da passare da un suono all'altro con il solo value up/down o con un pedale di tipo switch

and translate in english Razz

you can save the prog/combi you will use during your live in subsequent location (e.g. piano at 001, string at 002 and so on) so that you can switch just with value up/down or using a swtich pedal.

The above trick works fine, but is only useful if you stay in Prog or Combi mode. If you need to change from a Prog patch to a Combi patch or vice-versa, then follow what I wrote below. You could also mix both techniques.

For a live situation, you can program sysex files with a sequencer that you can send as MIDI data with a data filer, or as sysex files if you've used a sysex editor instead. This is what I used to do when playing as it is faster than changing presets or mode from the screen.

For example, sending

F0,42,30,3B,4E,00,00,F7 switches the Trinity in Combi mode and

F0,42,30,3B,4E,02,00,F7 switches the Trinity in Prog mode.

Now, add the bank and program change in sysex (check the ref manual for the values), and your Trinity is ready in a matter of milliseconds.

If you find sysex programming difficult, then create small MIDI files containing only one track, that track containing the above sysex message to start with (Prog or Combi), then a combination of the commands Control 0, Control 32 and Program Change. It will be marginally slower than pure sysex, but still faster than pressing buttons yourself.

"what's the meaning of " enable 10's hold " ? "
This is an option that you can use only if you have the latest version of the OS.You can find it on the korg.com site.
The function is...lets say you choose sound number 25 (no matter Combi or Prog) and when you want to change it to sound 29 you only need to press the "9" button, in stead of 29...
I hope you understand my explanation....
Regards!
