Hi everyone.
I know a few of you are experiencing the same problem as I was regarding one of the Trinity’s outputs shutting down for no reason.
Bonkwell posted how to fix the problem if it was related to the cable running from the headphone socket, but in my case… I noticed that there wasn’t a problem with that cable at all. It was in fact a completely different cable.
Anyway… this image says it all.
And here’s an overall view of the Trinity so you can see what side the cable is located. It’s right behind that ribbon cable.
Hope this helps someone, because it’s after curing my Trinity of this problem. Whoo hoooo
Regards.

Hey, Ernie
If you are plannig to do it, drop me a line.
Here you have plenty of music shops, you´ll find almost anything you want, but its not easy to try keyboards yourself.
And they are not cheap. What are you after?
But if you come here we´ll see what we can do...
I know well all them.
Regards dude, we´re in contact.
(No pases calor!)

Hi all, I got my Trinity as soon as they were first available in UK and I've been a happy Trinity owner ever since. I have other keyboards, they come and go but the Trinity stays forever!
The only grief I ever have from the Trinty is this output thing. Over the years various solutions have been offered. First time it went back to Korg who replaced the L & R output jacks, seemed to work till next time.
Then it was headphone output jack replaced again by Korg, seemed OK again. Next it was loose connection to headphone output board, then other loose connections, latest the connection Sharp is showing us.
Trouble is that each time I loose an output doing any of the above seems to fix it, why? Is it realy getting fixed because for any of these solutions we turn the Trinity upside down and jiffle with all of the connections and leads inside and that the problem is actually just that these connections work loose or should Korg come clean and eventualy admit there is a known problem and give us the solution once and for all? _________________ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,.. Hi Guys.
The only safe way is to replace the whole board.
Outputs 1-4 midi and pedal inputs are all on 1 pcb.
Replace that and you wont have any futher probs.

Sharp,
Just last night, I got my very first sign of the output problem. And it was for sure on my Headphones. Only one side worked and if I unplugged the headphone cable out a bit, then the other side would work, Do you still have the pictures somewhere please? Anyone? _________________ Best,

Well, last night I tried to replicate the problem and it went away. From reading the posts, i'm sure it might come back again.
I think gigging with the Trinity and all the plugging and unplugging probly is what causes this mishap. _________________ Best,

I have the same problem from time to time. I thought I had solved it as I opened it a month ago for a key repairment, and when re-assembled the output problem was gone. Even a problem I have with combis edit mode (sometimes I can't edit transpose, midi channel and int/ext/off values, sometimes I can... weird thing) was gone, but yesterday it started once again to give me some headaches.
I think it has to do with transporting the keyboard from home to rehearsals, to gigs. Maybe some connections, or some pieces are loose enough to make it work sometimes, and not others. It's just a thought. _________________ My band's site
